Abstract

This research examines the Iraqi school and its role in the development of the Maliki School of thought. The researcher has chosen, Judge Abdul Wahhab and his book Al-Talqin (Indoctrination) as a model for the study in order to highlight the scholarly and methodological characteristics that distinguished this school within the Maliki School. The research begins by defining the Iraqi School, its origins, and its characteristics. It then presents a biography of Judge Abdul Wahhab, explaining his scholarly standing, his book Al-Talqin, (Indoctrination) and the influence of the Iraqi School on the book.

The research concludes that the Iraqi School has played a prominent role in the development of the Maliki School of thought, both in its foundational principles and methodology, and that Judge Abdul Wahhab was its most prominent representative. Furthermore, the book "Al-Talqin" (Indoctrination) represents a clear model of the Iraqi approach to Maliki Doctrine, due to its scholarly rigor, excellent organization, and clear articulation of the school's doctrines.
